Bridge, Agraffe and Other Repairs

Service Description

While mechanical failures aren’t common, they do sometimes occur and require specific repairs. The bridge acts as a conduit to transfer sound from the string to the soundboard. Problems can occur; specific repairs are needed. The same applies to the agraffe, the brass pieces with wholes that sit at the front of the plate. When agraffes break, careful work is needed to extract the remaining brass out and install a new agraffe. Other repairs include string splicing, freeing action parts, key and keytop repair, and the all-important elimination of clicks and squeaks.
